I want to play with creating web applications so I loaded up Apache. However, I noticed that I can access the admin and manager webforms from external ip. I have a decent password and change the admin account name. However, I would still prefer to have the apache admin and manager webform restricted to only local IPs.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any documentation on this. I know there is a way to restrict by IP address, but I can't find it now.
If someone could provide me the information to accomplish this, that would be much appreciated. I would prefer to focus on other things right now. I obviously would like to get back to learning more about Apache, just not now.
Any other security tid bits or advice would be great too. Thanks.
