Apache (Tomcat) question. How do I restrict access to admin page?

I want to play with creating web applications so I loaded up Apache. However, I noticed that I can access the admin and manager webforms from external ip. I have a decent password and change the admin account name. However, I would still prefer to have the apache admin and manager webform restricted to only local IPs.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any documentation on this. I know there is a way to restrict by IP address, but I can't find it now.

If someone could provide me the information to accomplish this, that would be much appreciated. I would prefer to focus on other things right now. I obviously would like to get back to learning more about Apache, just not now.

Any other security tid bits or advice would be great too. Thanks.

Don't know it off the top of my head, but on an internet facing system, I don't think I'd run them at all. Iirc the latest version doesn't even come with them installed (at least one isn't there).

You make a good point. It doesn't come with admin webforms, but I think it does come with 'manager' forms.
