Conservatives are angry because she advocates for "socialist" policies, yet here she is attending an expensive event, wearing expensive clothing, and schmoozing with rich people. Conservatives, who generally subscribe to the "fuck you, got mine" mantra, are unable to comprehend that wealthy people can do all those wealthy people things while still being advocates for the working class.

The shocking twist
Conservatives also attend Met Gala

I don't care about any of these bullshit populist style arguments over so-called hypocrisy. She'd be a hypocrite if she said never wear an expensive outfit or get an expensive hairstyle or go to an exclusive gala. She never said those things.

And no, rich people who think their taxes should be raised don't have to donate their money to the government until it happens.

Nor does it matter what brand of mustard someone puts on their burger.

Same drivel, different day.

I'll close with this:

I don't pretend to be a man of the people. But I do try to be a man for the people.
- Senator Graccus

Intelligent, brave, definitely hot... I'm sorry what's the problem here? In the age of Amazon not only avoiding taxes but getting 9 digit refunds that message has lost a lot of it's edginess.

I'll take AOC over a sociopath horseface or a pixie brain donor any day of the week. That she is witty and so effective at what she does just makes her all the more incredible. Her man is a lucky guy.

Fair. At best.

Annoying. Obnoxious. Irritating. Pretentious. To those, I'll say 'definitely'.

I can't fault or judge you for having personal tastes regarding the female form, but the rest is really a critique of you, not her. A poor critique at that. It's reassuring you suffer no issues identifying treason though.

To conservatives, "socialism" is when anyone they don't like has money or privilege.
It's a myth that conservatives subscribe to capitalism. The reality is that their true economic philosophy is using the govt to force everyone else to pick up their bills (which IMO is the rankest form of socialism). And AOC breaks that mold, hence their outrage the govt isn't doing more to keep her and people like her down.

The same people who jettisoned all their political positions to support Donald Trump are accusing AOC of hypocrisy?
They didn't jettison anything. Trump is who they always were. The Second Coming of George Wallace and a long line of similar anti-American yet "patriotic" douchebags. The shock for the MAGAs came from finding out that that wasn't socially acceptable anymore.
