that's the most vague thing I've ever heard :p

If you're using an alternate browser like FF or Opera, choose the 'use as my default browser' in the options menu and it won't load IE anymore.

Or you could unintall IE
Go to add or remove programs
then go to add or remove windows componenets
Uncheck IE

I agree with George...Some websites as much as I hate to say it don't work right without using IE.... Just set whatever browser you want as your default...

Sorry, to explain

If i start loading a webpage, then begin using something else, when the webpage finishes loading (or gets close to finishing), IE pops to the top of all windows.

Oh, in that case, first you have to install a better browser. I am not sure if you can customize IE to not do that. I do know you can configure Opera or FF to not do that, though.

If you're using Windows XP, you can fix this by getting Tweak UI from microsoft's website.

here's a screenshot of what you need to do (i.e., make sure the first check-box is checked)

Using FF on campus is a PITA though. For some reason, it won't automatically pick up my school's proxy, so i have to enter it manually, rendering it useless at home.

Oh man. If that works, you are a savior.

I've been looking for a solution to this problem forever. Even made lots of posts on it and never got an answer.

Already installed it so we'll see what happens.
