"96' Camrys are the best cars ever built" -My father, a Toyota and car enthusiast.

I haven't, in my experience with the cars, ever experienced a problem with them. I was in a wreck in one and the airbag saved my life and the car ran perfectly even with the side smashed in and the driver front tire at a 40 degree angle. Those cars are troopers and I believe they shouldn't be modded. We've had four 95' and 96' Camrys and only sold them if they were wrecked (1) or if we found something new we liked. When I talk about the cars being great I mean the four-cylinders. I've never had any experience with the six's so I can't comment on them.

If you want speed, get a different car. Camrys are made for reliability which they achieve 100%.

I kind of agree with this only if you're retired and have a lot of cash. I'm not but have 73' Dodge Challenger that chews up whatever in its way looks wise. Being a 340 it can only get-up-and-go a little but hey, that's a 30 year old car for Pete's sake. All stock spare the carb and headers. New American cars aren't that great and I think Japan is doing a good job with creating reliable, good looking cars.

I have an all-stock 94 Camry LE 4cyl that has about 130K miles on it and still runs great! Perfect condition! I must admit that it's a little slow at times, but gas mileage and reliability is superb!
