This is the nth time (I want to say 6th or 7th) it's happened where I get disconnected at about 4 hours of being on the cell phone.

My carrier - T-Mobile.
The other party - Cingular.

Doesn't matter who initiates the calls.

Is there a 4 hour limit imposed?

I can't say I've ever been on the phone for that long, may I ask why you are?

A lot of providers have session limits. You're probably hitting it. How in the heck can you be on the phone for 4 hours without doing something you're not supposed to with your cell phone?

That's weak. I've never tried to go four hours, but I've passed two without problems.

if you need to talk to your girlfriend for more than 4 hours at one time, and on multiple occasions, maybe you need to evaluate your relationship and see if one or both of you has an unhealthy co-dependency issue.

She's out of town quite frequently.
And we're still in the honeymoon stage I guess.

Not really. Being whipped is a natural part of maturing. It's a rite of passage, like dumping a paycheck in a strip joint.

I'm just saying that most people and many health-care professionals would say this is an indication of underlying issues. Unless you're 14, in which case it's just immaturity. But if you are an adult and still doing this, it's a bit of a warning sign.

Meh, there is a girl I talk to on the phone for about 4 hours once a week. I don't see any issues with it as long as this isn't some everyday occurrence.
