anyone work at Panera Bread?

I think there's a member of this forum who has a wife that works there. Maybe, he'll chime in here soon.

As a customer, I love the Panera Bread stores. Great food, great prices and a very relaxed atmosphere.

So try my best to get it as a total BS job to go along with college?

It looks similar to my work at Bruegger's Bagels. some obnoxious customers, but pretty much garden-variety retail food sales. Not a whole lot of cooking unless you are a baker, and closing the store is probably the worst part b/c you have to do a lot of cleaning and set up for the next day.

Not a bad job.

What becomes of the bread and pastries at the end of the day? Do you get a discount on any of it?
Actually, I remember reading some information in the store where they donate the items to homeless shelters and people in need of food.

Yup, they give a lot of food away at night... I mean a LOT. Everything is cleared and given to a shelter. I love Panera... I am sure you would meet a lot of cool girls/milf's 😀

Heh... not at the local one 😀
They never wash the bread trays, too. I hear they're nice and dirty, hence I don't eat there.

Ok, I'm the infamous one with the wife that works for Panera Bread.

My wife works on the Bakery side of the operation. However, Jzero had it somewhat right when he said that day shift workers don't do any baking. There is usually now a day shift baker that does some baking and some Paneras have the entire operation mixing and baking done on site during the day.

The bakers work very hard, get a paid a little more, and are given a food allowance. Panera is a growing company. Stock has gone from $7 a share to $62(it split, and is now $31) in the last three years. There is a lot of room for advancement as my wife's meteoric rise can attest to.

Feel free to PM me if you have anymore questions.
