I haven't read a Harry Potter book yet but I wouldn't make fun of people who do read them. For a children's book, have you seen how thick those books are? It's not like they are Dr Suess books.

I actually stopped by a book store today at lunch because my friend wanted to see when the new one would be on the shelves and I flipped through one of the HP books. The reading appears to be about as difficult as any John Grisham or Robin Cook book (probably my two favorite authors) but it's a storyline that anyone kids or adults can enjoy.

That's what I always thought. A co worker finally convinced me to read the first book. I just ate it up. I then proceeded to read all the remaining ones. I not going to rush out and buy the new one but I will probably pick it up after finishing the current book I'm reading.

I plan to be at the local Barnes & Noble at midnight. I didn't place a pre-order so I'm curious about my odds for getting a book. Don't laugh but some places stopped taking pre-orders because they fulfilled their allocation.

Borders is having a release party with customed characters and "lots of fun and games". I'm at least twice the target age for the HP series but I don't give a rat's ass. I've read the first four...what am I going to do? Stop now?

I went two years ago for the last one and had a blast. Lots of family's there, having fun with their kids. Trivia contests, and other games. It is nice wholesome fun. And, hell Iwant to start reading the book tonight at 12:01.
