Anyone use "synch" type software from palm to..

I dont own a palm......I have no idea what software comes with it.....would it be to much to ask? I am doing this for an employee out in CA.......If you dont mind, does palm ship with a cradle and software to synch it to outlook? She tells me "I want to synch to Outlook, do they have software to do this? What is the best software to use?" Thats why I am asking, I am assuming that she doesnt already have the software.
