Yes, since I dont' own a wok.
neither do I.

I make fried rice in my cast iron pan. It turns out nice.

I either boil or steam my veggies.

One thing I want to make soon is baked beans in my crockpot.

So how do you make fried rice? Do you use white or brown?

a great thing about OT is there are lots of recipes and suggestions.

someone should collect them all and make an AT recipe book.

Never mind sine I would have to soak hulled barley overnight. It looks like I will want this instead:

How to cook:

I don't need to soak the Hull-less variety overnight. Which is why I don't usually prepare dried beans.
Bob's Red Mill products are very common here. They have a huge variety of foods.

preparing dried beans is easy. You can either soak them overnight or simmer them for a few minutes. You do that to breakdown toxins present in the beans.

Anyone know where I can get red rice at? I found it at nuts.com but it isn't cheap.

We sometimes mix it with white rice. But most of the time we use it as tea.
