anyone tried invisibleshield?

I have a Zagg on my evo. Was only like $8-9 and the guy at best buy applied it for me. You don't really notice the "rubbery" feeling at all, unless you have sweaty fingers, and you never see any sort of orange peel when the screens on.

Hm I just googled what Gorilla glass was and saw that my Epic 4G uses it too. I was even about to post that for some reason, my Epic seems like it cleans itself? My girlfriend was using it and it left prints then all of a sudden later on it was completely spotless?

Well it's easy to clean and scratch resistant, also pretty hard to shatter.

It's pretty good stuff, they should all use gorilla glass.

I just clean mine with a alcohol prep pad then dry it with a clean cloth when it gets fingerprints on it. It doesn't clean itself or anything but all it really needs is a wipe to get prints off it.

I had a Zagg on my old 3GS (just the back side) and it worked pretty well. Except after about two months it discolored pretty badly, and on a white iPhone is was pretty ugly.

I like bare bar type cell phones but I usually end up with a case. Currently have a Speck on my Incredible, but I'm still waiting for Otterbox to release the Defender series.

I have one on my EVO and don't care for it. It's actually the second I have had on my phones. I prefer boxwave but they didn't have available when I got my EVO. When it comes time to replace it I will get a boxwave. Zagg's have a grippy rubbery feel to them I hate, boxwave's are smooth as glass.

I let BB install mine.

The Stealth Guards are complete garbage. I ordered two. They came in a business sized envelope and were stuck together from the heat. I couldn't get them apart without damaging them. I tossed them.

I read a post on another forum where his were not cut all the way through and you couldn't pull them apart. I pulled mine out of the trash and mine were cut incorrectly too.

I have the Zagg screen cover. Only put them on yesterday but they went on fine and so far seem fine.
I am a little interested in their leather skin but I am waiting till I see one in the wild.

Yeah...I'm not worried about the glass at all. I just want more traction without having a big ol case on my phone.

Bestskinsever. They don't have the orange peel look as much as the Invisishield and they are less expensive. Otherwise I have seen ZERO difference between the two in four years of using them. Just make sure you have the patience and wet fingers needed to apply them. I think they say 20-30 minutes, but in reality, it is closer to 45-60 minutes for a quality job, depending on how many nooks and crannies your phone has. I love them.

just put the invisible shield on. I really like the spray they give you so you don't have to worry too much about mistakes. I still has a couple air bubbles but supposedly those will work themselves out in a couple days.

For sure more traction with this. As long as the bubbles clear up, I'll be a happy camper.

You should have been able to work 99% of the bubbles out with the enclosed squeegee.

I hear good things about clarivue, powersupport, and sgpstore. Even some vendors on eBay are good but that's a bit more sketchy.

I think you can only get static clings for the screens. Anything that has curves you need the wet adhesion kind. The static clings are better because it's clearer, smoother, semi reusable, no drying time and has zero orange peel. The only disadvantage is that the protector gets scratched more easily.

I personally use sgp and their product is fantastic but their support is garbage so I dunno if I can recommend them. I sent in a warranty request and I haven't heard anything back.

I think Gizmodo mentioned it. During the initial days of the iPhone 4 when the whole atennae thing was breaking, a lot of places made moves to turn it to their advantage. Free cases were offered, stickers, Best Buy did this thing... all kind of stuff. To date my roommate has gotten 3 free cases.

You should have given it more than 12 hours, they really will disappear (as long as you don't have any particulate under it). I had to have my Epic reapplied due to a speck of dirt creating a bubble but the second application is perfect (as was my Pre before this).

It reallyworks remarkably well on flat surfaces, more complex shapes like the Pre will eventually have problems. The corners of my Pre are a gummy mess now after a year. I'll clean it up and have it re-applied then off to Ebay it goes.

Zagg/Invisible Shield is the devil, but they have great customer service.

I had the free bumper wrap that Best Buy had in their stores for the iPhone. I also bought a protector for my back. Installed just fine and left the phone alone for 24 hours, which according to the instructions is what you do. Went out to Wisconsin in August for two weeks. After the third day, the back had started to peel off almost 1/4 of the way and the 'bumper' had started to peel as well. So I called Zagg and told them my problem. They wanted to ship me out a replacement, but I told them that all I wanted was my $$ back. After about 10 minutes of them trying to convince me to "try their product again" they agreed to the full refund. All I had to do was to photo copy my receipt and send it to them.

I will give them a :thumbsup: for their customer service, but a :thumbsdown: for their product. Now all I have is the iFrogs case.

I got my Stealth Guards in today. It was shipping in a plain envelope with the protectors in between the folds of the invoice. The "inner" cutouts (speakers, camera) came out easy, but I had to make a cut with an exacto blade to start, and then i was able to easily peel the rest of the protector out.

The front went on easily enough using a little bit of soap mixed with water and placed on my fingers and the adhesive side. Slide it around a little, then smooth it down. I can see the water underneath it, let's see how it looks after it's dried.

The back, otoh... the back of the Vibrant is too "curvy". The edges don't want to stay down. We'll see how that one does in a few hours, I may end up taking the back off. It doesn't even fit from edge to edge.

I really like the look and texture of it, though, and I like the way it makes the front of the Vibrant seamless... there's a slight lip on the inside of the trim ring that's irritating and the SG protector is just thick enough to make it flat all the way across.
