I was kind of looking for the rubbery feel. Right now I use a body glove plastic case that does a pretty good job. It just adds extra size to my phone. The only reason I got it was to add some "traction" on to my phone.

They're incredibly overpriced. You can find the same thing at bestskinsever.com for much less.

have you personally used one? I just pulled the trigger on the invisibleshield but I can still cancel if these are as good/better

2nd the best skins ever product, I knew a bunch of wealthy iPhone fanatics, they bought everything and loved the BSE stuff...

What is the orange peel effect?

I have used both Invisible shield and Best Skins Ever. I used Invisible Shield on my RAZR (took it off after a while when I basically stopped caring if the thing got scratched) and iPod (that is still on there, 2 or so years later). I had an IS on my MacBook, but it started to get discolored so I removed it. I got a BSE since I had heard good things about them and they were cheaper. They are slightly thinner than the IS but give you the same protection. My problem came when removing them. I removed the full body IS from my MacBook with almost no problems and no residue except in one already rough area on the bottom.

The BSE on the other hand, left behind residue EVERYWHERE. I had only used it on the palmrests and it took me hours to completely remove the stuff.

Just my 2 cents.

How about free?

Can't remember which phone you have, but they're just charging shipping on a bunch of skins...

Just ordered 8 for ~$20

Those are terrible. There's a thread in hot deals about them already, and nobody's happy. I ordered 2 and neither are usable because they weren't properly cut through all the way, so I'll have to cut them myself. Plus they're just cheaper overall (obviously).

I've used Best Skins Ever on nearly everything I own with a screen, save for my iphones. I love the product, but personally don't like the tacky/sticky feeling these types of protectors result in. Fantastic for non-touchscreens though. I haven't had a problem when I needed to remove it either, so I think the other guy just got unlucky. Customer service is great too. One got lost in the mail and after emailing them they shipped another one out immediately. Other people have reported getting replacements when they simply put it on crooked.

Yeah...something like this I don't want to go cheap on. I'd hate to ruin my $500 cell phone by using a cheap sticker. I was looking at the invisibleshield because it was more expensive. I tried one of the $.10 screen protectors from Amazon and was mad because it looked terrible.

I'm not afraid to spend money on quality...just trying not to waste it either :/

I have an invisible shield on my Droid. Doesn't feel rubbery, Orange peel effect vanishes once you turn the screen on. Peel off with no residue.

Edit: this might be going overboard, but when I install mine, I do it in the bathroom. I run the shower for a bit to get the dust in the room to settle, then I go to work.

I tried the Zagg Invisible shield, didn't like the rubbery feel, took it off. It's better bare. I have the Droid X with gorilla glass, doesn't need a protector.

One thing I do like about the rubberiness, anti slip. Especially if you have two of them together.

BSE is great... unless you need precision cuts. Both my DS lite and Palm Pre kits were off by a bit. But virtually the same as zagg/invisible shield.

But I went with ghost armor. I have not found anything as slick feeling. With that said, I'd much rather have everyone start using gorilla glass =)

Hm I just googled what Gorilla glass was and saw that my Epic 4G uses it too. I was even about to post that for some reason, my Epic seems like it cleans itself? My girlfriend was using it and it left prints then all of a sudden later on it was completely spotless?

Personally I dont see the need for screen protectors on these new phones with glass/Gorilla glass.
I've had my HD2 naked since the beginning and no scratch on the screen anywhere.
A friend of mine just got an iphone 4 last week and I just saw it with a hugh 1inch scratch on the phone.
I'm guessing ip4 doesn't use Gorilla glass ?? Its such an eyesore

My vibrant is the same way. Tons of prints, but if you even barely brush it against cloth, it's clean. The coating on the Galaxy S phones is amazing.

Yeah they're OK, but depending on the shape of your phone you may have a whole bunch of little edge pieces. Those little pieces tend to peel off easily. Large flat pieces are like a 2nd skin for the phone.
And after this set falls off I will go back to the Body Glove or Otterbox, something that really protects.

Yeah, with my Droid 1, I ended up peeling off all the side pieces and just went with top and bottom. And then went with an otterbox. I find it to be more comfortable to type on with the added thickness.

@pliable, no nudity, I promise. :)

They scratch. I had 2 invisible shields.

I recommend BodyGuardz if you want the same type of stuff. It has LESS of an orange peel effect, and they give you two at a time.

All of it scratches. I never put my iPod or DROID in the same pocket as my keys, but the screen is all scratched. It's certainly more scratch resistant than your typical glossy screen protector, but the scratchproofness is overrated. The high price you're paying is for a lifetime replacement service. Think of it that way. I could call in every 6 months and say it scratched and demand a new one.
