Ctrl+C then Ctrl+V? I don't need some application to manage my media for me. If you actually want to buy music from your device I'm fairly sure you can use Amazon's android app to do it.

Just remember. The ads aren't for you. It's for people who want an easy way to get content on their devices.

I don't buy my music from the App Store, but I couldn't live without smart playlists. That is what makes iTunes so much better than anything out there for syncing my media. I tried DoubleTwist on my Android but it was still buggy. ctrl+C + V is great for small music collections or ones you never resync after the 1st time. But I'm always changing it up. That method would take days to get new media on my device. And if I'm in the mood I got my iPod Explorer program to drag and drop or cut and paste music to mine without having to use iTunes. Best of both worlds. Having choices is always better.

It's simple Marketing. It plays with semantics quite well, however and that can be misunderstood by buyers to mean that nothing has anything like the iPhone in terms of function, and this is why people may get uppity about it. However, saying that no other phone has iPod, App Store, iBooks et al is 100% true, just as iPhone doesn't have Android Market, Google Navigation, etc. They just leave those points out to suit their message, which they are entitled to do.

AKA, get over it.

I agree, I don't understand what people are mad over. Android doesn't have an iPod, App Store, or iBooks.

Android has MP3 Player, Market Place, and Kindle. The only thing in the ad that is a lie is the one about not having your favorite books in your pocket.

People are not up in arms, they are just pointing out that there is at least one provable lie and several misleading implications in Apple's new ads.

Like in every commercial or ad on TV, radio, billboards and our smartphones.

I'm actually shocked that people care so much about an ad. This means it will probably be extremely effective... Good job marketing department!

Everyone knows I dislike Apple products as much as the next guy but if these people are up in arms over this, they must get pissed off at every commercial or ad they see.

The misleading part, maybe, but usually credible companies avoid outright lies in their ads.

You are a perfect example of the typical android fan I envision in my head. You are sitting on the sidelines, mouth frothing, waiting for apple to make the slightest 'mistake' or slip up. Once they do this, you pounce like they are the most evil company in the world. You watch the company like a hawk and try to disparage it at any minuscule chance you might get. Ex: 'Antennagate', 'glassgate'.

In actuality, this goes on in every commercial and at every company. You think in your own mind that only apple does this. Every company does this.

You are perfect example of a typical iDiot I envision in my head. What little self-image so invested in being an Apple iDevice owner that you jump to defend them even if they are clearly in the wrong.

And people wonder why there cannot be peace in the Middle East?

Where am I wrong? I admit that the book part is a lie? The rest is straight up marketing, used by every company in the world. Its the same way toyota says only they have toyotacare. Where is the outrage there?

Can I bitch about my Milestone/Droid today? Didn't want to start a new thread otherwise the Phandroids will complain about that.

My phone froze 3 times.
1) My call dropped or something. i tried to redial and my phone froze.
2) I rebooted and called my friend back. I wasn't about to wait 3 minutes for my phone to fully load. Why it's slower than my Windows Vista ancient computer is beyond me. I got 3 sentences in and my phone rebooted agian.
3) I gave my phone 5 minutes to fully boot, my friend called back, tried to MMS me afterward. I texted her back saying my MMS doesnt work well and my phone rebooted before the text sent.

Ugh. WTF.

I've never seen it this unstable. CM6.

So you're complaining that your rooted phone with a ROM is unstable??? That's just as dumb as these people complaining that advertising is not 100% true.

Yeah, which is what I said too.
The part that says if you don't have iPhone you don't have your favorite books in your pocket is a bold faced lie. You can argue the other stuff is technically true, since you don't have "App Store" on Android, you have "Android Market." But the books thing is openly misleading.
Apple fanbois got defensive all of the sudden.

LOL and you get worked up over that?

Thanks for confirming my suspicions.

Edit: and if defending them is stating the obvious that all companies do this, then I guess i am defending them...

I have a Droid 1, and the Motorola commercial I saw for it bragged how the phone was fast. Rooted and OC'ed to 1.1ghz my phone isn't what I'd consider "fast" (because it's not)

I've never seen an honest commercial, Apple's no more guilty than Motorola, lying about the eBook thing is on par with Moto saying the Droid 1 was fast, both are 100% lies.

Very predictable diversion. See that's the thing about you iDiots. Your iDevices are just too much of a part of your self-image that you can't handle legitimate criticism of Apple (which you perceive as criticism of you for buying Apple products) without trying to sling mud at others.

CM6.1.2 is stable? I've never seen it this unstable ever until today.

I mean if the final CM6 is not stable, then what the hell is this CM7 RC1 thread we have going? That must be a blue screen more often than Windows 98?

come on, we both know CM is stable as hell.
