Try not to think about why they ended up at Odd Lots . . . failed mainland Chinese health standards, perhaps? 😱

I try to get my fishies from Canuckistan. Though it's a third world country, I trust them much more than China :^P

We used to make chains with them and put them on hats and things...😛 My sister used to make long chains for doorways like to old type made from beads (oh and yes we drank a lot)...

I even remember the old beer and soda cans were steel and could be found rusting in the ditch... (damn I'm old D🙂

Guys in the firms would build room dividers with them. Another way of bragging his much beer was being consumed.

"Church key" drinks 🙂 They actually still have a brand called Churchkey Beer that comes with a church key.

I will leave it to our posters to find what it means. 🙂

I have a born-on 1971 date stamped on my ass.

In college, my weight room in my apartment had a Guinness Stout Extra border around it from cut out logos from each box I consumed.

Some of my favorite meat is mystery meat. I love Spam, but it comes with a pull top now. I had a canned ham from Canada a couple months ago, and it had a key. Not the best ham, but the key made up for the deficiencies :^D
there is still a lot of canned meats here that use a key.

My favourite one is Hereford Corned Beef from Brazil as it makes a good hash.

GET OFF MY LAWN!! :awe:

I used to have them strung back and forth across the ceiling in my room.

Someone old needs to explain to me how canned meats were so popular at one point?
really?

you have no idea why they have been canning meats for so long?

canned meats are still very popular. Spam, corned beef, various spam knock offs, salmon, tuna, chicken, ham, turkey, etc... are bought every day.

pantry storage which means no refrigeration needed.

Maybe I should rephrase.

How is this appetizing to anyone

Refrigeration isn't exactly a new thing.

Goodness, there are some old farts in here 😀

<--- is getting older and feeling very old sometimes.

Yeah....these were designed years ago by a rare convergence of the Band-Aid and Curad engineering teams.

I like tools that add an element of danger to their use. It helps focus attention, and makes people use them better. If people were strapped to the fronts of their cars so they were the first thing hit in an accident, you'd see a lot less bullshit on the roads.
