That's about the time I got into, maybe a few years later with some HS friends. Briefly played with another group that was REALLY into it. They had a special D&D table with a clear plastic top and a white tablecloth converted to graph paper underneath the plastic. So we could map right on the table and move the figurines around to plan battles. It was a lot of fun. I still have most of the AD&D books, modules and dice too.
