Kind of... but I'm still interested in video cards, particularly video/RF tech. But for me there's still nothing better than Battlefield 2/Sharqi Peninsula defending the Surveillance Post. :Q

It's been happening to me, for the past year. I have Doom 3, Ressurection of Evil, Quake 4, F.E.A.R., CoD2, HL2, Far Cry and World of Warcraft. None of these games were able to keep my interest for more than a week.
I think ever since I started playing Everquest back in 2000/2001, my expectations and interests in games changed a lot. I played Everquest for 2+ years, and Everquest 2 for about 10 months. Ever since I started playing Everquest, no games have held high interest for more than a few weeks.

This is how it was for me after playing Asherons Call (darktide) for a few years. The sheer complexity and dynamics found in that MMORPG (despite its outdated graphics) have been unmatched in any MMO game since then. As for FPS games, I played Desert Combat for a year straight, led a clan, ran my own server and all that but since then it just seems all these newer fps games are rehashes of the same thing with little to no progress in features or gameplay. I was never interested in strategy games or single player RPG games so that doesn't help with my choice of games either.

I got sick of BF2 and CS:S but when I got my xbox360, I enjoyed gaming again. Actually it wasn't until I was able to sign on to xbox live and play PGR3 against other people that I started having fun again. Video cards really keep me interested in PC gaming. It weird but they do.

I got a new card coming so I'll play FEAR, Quake 4, perhaps another run through of FarCry with HDR and see how that goes. If not, the PC might become 2nd rate for some time. I go on/off to PC gaming often so I don't ever consider selling it off completely.

the funny thing is, i usually by a game just to see how well my rig will play them. farcry, half life2, halo, BF2, doom 3, and AOE III. lately it seems my GF and my 2 little boys spend more time on my PC than i do.

I got bored of Quake4 about half way through and lately I think I'm losing interest all together in gaming. The cpu in my sig I just built two days ago and I'm thinking of making it an HTPC instead of what I originally planned.

There aren't any DOD Source players out there? I can't wait until Red Opera comes to Steam as a stand alone game. I will definately check that out. But if alot of you's are losing interest in the game, try making maps for one of your fav games. I started at the ending months of DOD before DODS came out and figured i'd just wait and now DODS has gave me back my addiction that keeps me out of trouble off the street...

I find myself losing interest also but I still feel the need to constantly upgrade, hehe. I even just got the dell 2005fwp. But it was such a good deal and have been wanting a ws monitor.
I'll still game though just not as much.
