Anyone like to drink scotch?

I have always been a beer drinker, never much cared for the hard stuff, but my bro just taught me about scotch drinking, and now I'm hooked.

I drink mostly the branded stuff, like Dewars (my fav), Cutty, Jonnie Walker, and Chivas. But I gotta tell ya, the 12 yr stuff is smooooootttthhhhhh and nice.

Any scotch drinkers?

if it's not single malt, it's not worth drinking 😛

Yup. Though I've got to say, everytime my boss has me make a Rusty Nail with 15yr old single malt scotch, I feel like crying

I love scotch. Scotchy, scotch, scotch.

I had this one sctoch that came in a clay jar. Apparently it was supposed to be a several hundred dollar bottle. I can't recall the name though... good as sh!t and really ridiculously smooth, some of the best alcohol that I've ever had.
A friend and I ended up drinking the whole bottle. That was a fun afternoon. 😀

I never understood the snobbery that sprung up around Scotch, particularly in North America... I enjoy Scotch neat, on the rocks, or mixed.

Something that'll make your nosehairs curl, leave your Scotch bottle on the stove, and turn the oven on, so it warms the Scotch slightly.. fragrant, and smooth... my god, smooth...

It's an appreciation for fine liquor.
If you're hanging out with Jessica Alba, you don't tell her to put on baggy sweat pants and a turtle neck.

If you're spending more the $100 on your particular bottle of Scotch, then by all means, appreciate it, but when it's a $15 bottle of JW... have fun... experiment... live a little... believe it or not, good Scotch can taste better with additions... shocking I know, but spend some time in Scotland, and you'll understand what I mean...

**EDIT** And yes, yes you do... otherwise you know rh71 and his stalker ilk will be hanging around outside your home... 😛
