Anyone know a good website for home exercise equipment reviews?

Well my elliptical is dead for good, and I think I'm going with a stair climber this time. I'm looking for a reputable site that reviews that kind of equipment. On a related note, does anyone have a suggestion on a good stair climber for ~$1000.

Thanks.

Hm, wouldn't it be cheaper to find a sports stadium or bleachers nearby? Much cheaper and for the amount of effort of going to the nearest high school, I would assume it would be worth the slight inconvenience.

That would be cheaper, but I've had an easier time sticking to my regimen when everything I need to exercise is together and right where I am. Quite often I don't have the chance to get in a workout until after dark Plus, I don't have to worry about rainy days this way.

I went the cheap route with the elliptical and it barely made it 4 months before suffering fatal damage. Luckily the extended service plan I bought covered me, and they considered it cheaper to just pay me off rather than to repair the thing. 😕 Anyway I thought I might combine that with more $$ to purchase a piece of equipment with some real staying power.

No suggestions?

Ah, gotcha. Was just trying to suggest a cheaper method. I don't have one in mind, but our gym has some ones that are really reliable. I've never seen them break down in three years of being there. I'll check out their brand/model and post back Wednesday.

Since I don't know anything about stairclimbers I thought I would suggest buying a trainer for your bicycle. They're cheap (I paid $200) and your bike is now usable during the winter.

Don't know about stair climbers but my parents have a LifeFitness eliptical and it has been rocksolid since they bought it 3 years ago. It has 8 or 10 years warranty IIRC.
