Anyone in Chicago

Just moved to Chi-town a few months ago, are there any local ATers? Looking for some suggestions on things to do in the city. :sneaky:

Why do you need suggestions? Chicago is the greatest city in the world.

The shopping, the museums, the night life, the sporting events, the lake.

I'm not much of a deep dish fan. Giordanos is pass for me, Lou's is decent.

Kuma's Corner on Belmont is a fun burger place, and there is great sushi all over the place.

If you like biking, the trail along Lake Shore Drive is pretty awesome. Or the many museums, restaurants, the river, LP Zoo, shows, etc...

In the city itself? During the summer months? My guess is there's absolutely nothing to do; everyone's up in Door County. 🙄

Tons of stuff to do here in the summer. Find a few meetups that look interesting or join Chicago sport and social to meet people. Chicago has everything so you need to figure what you want to do rather than what there is to do.

Was there for two weeks on business years ago so I don't know much about the current Chicago. But I play Watch Dogs pc game a lot which is a fairly accurate city simulation of Chicago. So I drive and walk around all over the city on the monitor.

Ohhhh man, the hot dogs. The deep dish pizza.

Go to Giordanos or Lou Malnatis. It's not real pizza if you don't need a fork.

Which Lou Malnatis is actually the good one? Cuz the one I went to was not good. The pan they cook the pizza in was only filled half way. Was around the same height as a costco frozen deepdish pizza. Giordanos seems a lot better.

Having one bad experience doesn't mean you went to a "bad one."

I've been to the one on North State Street and to the one in Buffalo Grove. Both I thought were fantastic.

Giordanos is always great too.

don't get shot

I've driven through the Wild 100s at midnight on a Friday just for giggles and never felt threatened.

On the other hand of that, I wouldn't recommend anyone else doing that. I knew my way around and how to get out. I was also very careful.
