Anyone familiar with the brand "Thunderobot"?

It's the cheapest laptop I can find with a RTX 5070ti but I've never even heard of this brand before.
I asked Chat GPT if it could tell me about Thunderbot.

Thunderobot is a Chinese gaming‑laptop brand that's been steadily building its presence since its founding in 2014. It's owned by Haier Group and OEMs its machines from companies like Quanta, Blue Sky, Clevo, or Tongfang.

What they offer

They have three main laptop series:

ZERO (high-end flagship) – top-tier components and performance.

Radiant (mid-range) – balanced specs and value.

Storm (entry-level) – designed for budget-conscious gamers.

Besides laptops, Thunderobot also produces gaming mice, accessories, mini-PCs, and is dipping into smart glasses.
Wccftech

They’ve recently made their global debut at CES 2025, launching the ZERO series with Intel Ultra processors, AMD Ryzen 9000, and RTX 40/50-series GPUs.

This is the ATOT way.

“Should I set my nuts on fire 🔥?”

“NO!”

“Help! My nuts look like burnt marshmallows!”

I just got the card! 😍

I'm on the verge of buying the laptop below, I'm just waiting to confirm what's the warranty, I tried calling the company a couple times but they didn't answer.

I DEMAND at least a 1 year warranty.

LOL, part of the reason you stick with known brands is for warranty service. That's part of the dice roll when you buy from an unknown brand.
IIRC buying on the Amazon Visa should double the warranty (you should be aware of the other benefits of a credit card if you're going to have one).

Close, but not exactly correct. The Amazon Visa adds 1 year warranty if there was a warranty and if that warranty was 3 years or less.

This benefit extends the original manufacturer’s U.S. repair warranty coverage by one (1) additional year. If You received a store provided warranty or purchased a service contract, this coverage begins at the end of the cumulative warranties and service contract. If the original manufacturer’s U.S. repair warranty or a combination of the original manufacturer’s U.S. repair warranty, store provided warranty and a consumer purchased service contract exceeds three (3) years there would not be coverage under this benefit. In no event will coverage from the original manufacturer’s U.S. repair warranty, store provided warranty or consumer purchased service contract and this coverage exceed four (4) years from the purchase date

Best that I can tell is that the company says to contact the regional distributor. https://www.thunderobot.com/global/service.html
"If the product was purchased from a third-party ThundeRobot reseller, please refer to the regional distributor for warranty services."

That would be PCOnline US which has a $45.99 fee for a warranty: https://pconlineus.com/warranty/ which seems to cover accidental damage and battery failures only. "The plan covers the following product-specific enhanced coverage:
Laptops:
  • Accidental Damage from Handling Breakdowns
  • Battery Replacement:"

Frankly the least of his many sins in this thread. He's considering buying a Chinese brand that has no U.S. service, from a reseller that can't even be bothered to pick up the phone. It takes just a bit of research to see this is a terrible idea just to save a little money vs. a reputable brand/reseller.

Unfortunately the HP OMEN MAX 16 with 5070 Ti option isn't currently sold in the U.S. Street price would be around $2000.

Smaller screen and different merchant, but this is a winner. (Assuming ASUS still isn't out to punk customers. :p )

My MSI GT70 laptop is still mostly working well, the sound has started crackling in the last year, but it's also 13 years old.

I'm now considering this MSI laptop, I was able to get a hold of customer service and they confirmed this laptop has a 1 year warranty.

But the resolution and refresh rate is a little low at 1200p+144hz

If you can do with a smaller hard drive, this is the same computer but $200 cheaper by cutting out the middle man and buying direct from MSI.
