Considering there are about 100 or so out there, and going for $8000+, really doubt it.

I have seen a guy post on a another forum claim that he got one for around $2500.00. He did have pics to prove he had the rifle. I was just curious to see if anyone here had handled one civilian or military. Hopefully they will get more on the market soon before it's too late.

That is a sweet gun.
On a side note, does anyone know if there's a civilian version of the H&K G36? That looks like a pimp-ass gun.
Cool, thanks for the info. I think the default stock looks weird but otherwise it looks good. I've love to own one some day.Originally posted by: BrunoPuntzJones

Yes, the HK SL8
AFAIK they don't make them any more due to demand.
There are some G36 conversions out there for the SL8, but are expensive.

Ok, what is the difference between this weapon and the M-16 and AK47? I am a gun noob. But I am interested in case I have to some day repel a zombie invasion.

elitest 😛
Anyone have a constructive answer?
Shotguns are always more effective in zombie invasions... Plus, the ammo is cheap and you can get it easier. If zombies invaded right now and you had a 5.56mm/.223 cal AR-15 you wouldn't be able to get 5.56 and you'd be waiting weeks to pick up a lousy couple of boxes of 20 rounds of the .223 from walmart. By then, they'd have your brains.Originally posted by: wyvrn
