Anyone here not drink in college?

Been out of college for a while, but I didn't drink in college, nor do I drink now. Not that I didn't have plenty of opportunities. My roommates and friends were normally plastered on a regular basis. I just saw no need for it. I do enough dumb things without anything helping the cause.

This thread is full of disappointment.

Looks like the next gen is gonna be a bunch of sober tools.

QFT. Barely remember my Soph year and still pulled a 3.0

Not much when I first started, cause I was underage, but quite a bit during the last couple years. Good times.

I don't drink, period.

Once in a while (thanksgiving), I'll have champaign, and on my 22nd birthday I had a coffee with some kind of hard liquor in it. That's about it, though.

You guys are boring and probably sleep alone. Alcohols biggest positive when young is it gives young women an excuse for why they slept with you. If you are the doorstop in the corner not having fun then you just get left out.

I am about to graduate with my masters and I never drank at all. But at parties I knew how to have fun and rarely slept alone if I didn't want to.

But if you werent drunk, then youre just the guy who was preying on the drunk girls 😀

I drank a good amount in college. Never drank in highschool, had a couple drinks my freshmen year of college. After that, I drank on the weekends. Once I turned 21 though, I started going to the bars about 4x a week. Now that im graduated I still usually drink on the weekends, and have the occasional after-work beer at a bar.

I drank in college, but just on Fridays and Saturdays... if I had work to do on those nights, then no drinking for me.

I don't drink really at all (as in I've had a drink 4 times in my life and two were only tastes when I was underage). I just don't find drinking to be that fun. Now messing with drunk/high people that's something I can get behind.

Never drank, finishing my Associates'.

Never slept with anyone either but that doesn't bother me. I don't feel the need to get drunk and laid, but that's just me.

I'm finishing up my 2nd year in college, not a drop yet. Won't until I'm 21, and even then I have no plans on getting drunk. What's the point? Get drunk, act stupid, possibly get yourself into heaps of trouble, and wake up with a hangover in the morning. Sounds like lots of fun.... Nope.

YoYo goes to madison and doesn't drink, I believe.

I thought that being a hardened alcoholic was a requirement for admission at UW-Madison.

Enjoy your herpes and future McJob.

@OP: I'll be graduating in May, and I don't drink. It doesn't really appeal to me. Other people do, I don't have a problem with it.

I graduated first in my class....and I had a lot of fun. If you are smart you don't have to spend all your time studying. If you aren't smart enough you should take a slightly lower grade yet actually enjoy yourself. Learning how to interact with people is as important as getting good grades. I will hire someone with a lower GPA who has a personality and had fun in college before I will hire the 4.0 wallflower. Grades don't mean everything people.

Best post I've read in OT in a LONG LONG time...

I hate the taste of alcohol and I react badly to even a little bit of it. I never drank in college and I don't drink now, even though the business environment is heavy on "social" drinking. At one point, I wanted to "learn" how to drink, but I realized how stupid that really was. When I go out for a business-related event, I just order a coke. Only the idiots would try to convince/pressure a non-drinker to drink (and yes, there are plenty of them).

I know people who don't like to drink either, but they feel compelled to drink something because their "friends" or colleagues insists that they get SOMETHING with liquor. Who the fvck cares if it has liquor? Order whatever you want.

I have to admit, I'm a bit touchy on the subject. I don't mind when people drink, but when people drink to the point where they can't walk straight, I lose respect for them. Why would anyone intentionally put themselves in such a vulnerable position? It kills me when I lose respect for the people I care about.

My freshmen year i drank a ton(still got a 3.9 tho)
Soph year drank a good amount not as much tho
Junior year i am 21...I go to the bar
Senior year I was in japan and drank a ton...and then not much when i got home.

In any case my fridge always has beer now and I have one pretty much everyday.

Only a handful of times, but I graduated when I was 20. I'm now 21 and drink fairly regularly, usually 2 drinks or less. Sometimes 4-6 on weekends.

I don't drink to get passed out drunk, but I will drink socially, i.e. a couple of beers. I don't like the taste of liquor so....yeah.

i'm just finishing my freshman year, i don't drink. i so tired of all these retarded freshman thinking its so much fun to go out and get totally wasted every chance they get. how is that fun?
