I've been thinking of going the other way actually but here are some things that so far are holding me back (on VZW with OG Droid currently):
Google Nav, plus car mode (customizable) with the dock.
^ one touch for route home, one touch to call the wife, integrated with contacts
plus my bedside dock
custom home screens, seriously
investment in paid apps so far of course
ties in with above, seems like more iphone apps cost money
a smooth, responsive, consistent user interfa--wait nevermind
I think both have pluses and minuses. I wish Google would pull their heads out of their asses and try to finish something occasionally and respond to user input. Be nice if they just gave up and inked a deal with Amazon to handle all the media/app type stuff in exchange for some wee little ads here and there.
edit: friend of mine went from iphone (3gs I think) to Blackberry Torch. So there's weirdo's of every kind out there.
One main thing that was holding me back from switching was the voice dictation in Android and Google Nav. I use it all the time, and for free, IMO, I don't think it can be beat.
The iOS to BB isn't that weird. Maybe they've been wanting to try something new for a while and love the idea of BBM (that's the only reason I can really see to go to a BB again). Haha.
I also agree with your last statement about Google not finishing anything. I just wish they would put stricter guidelines and more polish so developers are all... oh my gosh.. need to develop for this instant! D: D:
