Quizno's tastes better than Subway, but not enough to justify the price difference. They just give you better, thicker bread.

Is everyone else here from the east coast or central? I don't know, but subway in california is really not that bad. Maybe it's because I know the people working there, but I always get enough meat. And what's wrong with vegetables? You can always dump some. I still prefer quizno's though. Wicked expensive. Anyone been to Blimpie?

Quizno's>Blimpie>Subway.

But none of them are bad.

Blimpie is the worst restaurant ever. I'd rather eat a 50 piece McDonald's Chicken Nugget than step *foot* into a freaking Blimpie.

Yes, you're the only one. :p
I like them. I say easy lettuce and who puts bell peppers on a sandwich, anyway?
<edit> Subway's in Tokyo is a great place for a cheap meal that won't fight back later.

I get a 6" Roast Beef w/ Double Meat. Tastes pretty good and not terribly bad for ya. Good amount of protein.

I used to eat subway on tuesdays at college when they had 2.99 footlongs. That's about it. As a college student, it was descent food, but now there are far better options.
Subway sucks. They do skimp on the meat. The biggest joke is the "deli style" sandwich. I think they put 1 slice of turkey on it. I could not taste the turkey. It's like they charge you 3 bucks for a bun.
And footlong meal here in silicon valley is 8 bucks. They are nuts. I can go get Chinese for 5 bucks for full cooked meal with soup.
Or Indian buffet for 7 bucks with really good food all you can eat with dessert, soup, salad, everything. Or custom cooked fried rice or pasta at the cafeteria for 5 bucks.
Why would I pay 8 bucks for some dry sandwiches with little meat and some nasty lays potato chips and sugar water. I would get a sandwich at Togos for 5 bucks. Maybe not footlong, but at least it is fresh cooked tasty food or something and not some frozen microwaved cr@p.
The only time I eat subway is when I am on the road and it's between junk food or subway. Even then if I can get a grilled chicken sandwich at another place, I just do that.
Subway thinks if they stick some healthy label on their food, people will buy it even if its nasty and expensive.

They do seem to skimp but it's a healthier alternative to most any other place. I'm a regular at the Subway I frequent, so they usually put more stuff on and the cashier who flirts with me usually gives me a discount on my food :)

I love Subways. It may cost a dollar more than average Jack In The Box combo, but to me eating healthier food is the pleasure.

WRONG! so anyway, i am still getting a whooping 6 slices of roast beef, and a ton of veggies... :disgust: am i the only one who feels ripped off while eating food from subway?

no. you are not alone. there are a lot of people on this site that don't know any better. subway sucks. i eat there a lot because its convenient, but i know it sucks. quiznos is better. schlotzky's and jasons deli are best.

Yep, I like Subway. Subway Club and Cold Cut Combo/Trio on wheat.

I don't like Blimpie, but Quizno's is good. Personally, I don't like a ton of meat on my sub. If I wanted a 3" stacked Turkey or Ham or Roast Beef sandwich, I'd go to a restaurant and get one. Subway is just right.

i like my bread toasted.....subway has fresh baked breads, but not toasted before they put meat and veggie in.....
I use to get sandwiches in QFC deli(a grocery store in seattle, but has deli sections), they are damn good.....they put really good stuff in their sandwiches, e.g. sun-dried tomatos, and then toast the whole sandwich.....mmm.....and they are not expensive at all!:)

Actually Subway kinda toasts your bread now if you ask for it with the meat and cheese...veggies too if you desire so
