Hehe, most food is good. There is some that is absolutely hideous though. But being 1/2 Puerto Rican (with not a single drop of their blood in me, my fathers mother is from France, and his father from Spain who moved to Puerto Rico in their early 20's giving birth to my father in their 30's.) My mother being full blooded Alaskan native raised primarily in American food culture since her teens. I can eat almost anything thrown at me... there are a few things that cross that line however. I can eat anything from raw freshly killed meat to animals I never seen before and alomst any fruit/vegetable. Oddly, even though no one in my family is allergic to nuts. There is a wide variety I can not eat otherwise my throat will close up on itself and can choke. Even the hottest Mexican food tastes good to me

To this date there is not a single piece of sea food I did not finish that I was served. Squid became the closest, not because it tasted bad. It just had little/no flavor and was like chewing on rubber. When I was a young teen and went out hunting with my grandfather in the Bering Sea I shot a walrus. We parked on a floating iceberg, pulled it up top, skinned and gutted it, then he made me do something I was not expecting. He had me clean it's intestines by ringing them out. Needless to say that was a disgusting job that I did not like doing, but I did it non-the-less. As I was squeezing the intestines, clams and other seafoods were shooting out of the ends that were cut. I did not pay too much attention to them and continued on with the squeezing. Well after 20 minutes I finally finished and stored the intestines as my grandpa told me to (I never knew how long intestines can be). Then he told me to get a bucket of seawater and wash those clams off. In my mind I shouted to myself WTF!!! NO THATS GROSS!!!. But did it anyways. I cleaned them all, well as many that would fit in that small 3 gallon bucket anyways.
Out comes the coleman stove, and the females that were out hunting with us (Eskimo culture, women do the cooking, men do the work) and they start cutting up a bunch of vegetables we brought along, melted some fresh snow that was on that iceberg we were on, added in some various spices, threw in the vegetables, started cutting the clams and threw them in and viola. Fresh clam chowder. I was the last one to get served (I was not complaining) because as another eskimo culture, eating order goes from oldest to youngest. I was looking at it for a long time thinking this is the grossest thing I have ever seen. Finally my second cousin who did the cooking said aren't you going to eat? You have been standing there just looking at it. Not wanting to offend her I scooped up a big spoon full, forced it in my mouth. To my surprise... it was EXCELLENT!
I bet on that TV show... what was it called... There are 3 rounds, 2 rounds of doing stunts and one a eating contest. I have no doubt in my mind I can eat anything they throw at me

lol. The bugs are a little disgusting (actually very) but those are man raised and not gotten from nature with a very strict diet. I am certain they taste like whatever kinda fruit/vegetables they feed them.
