Anyone have any suggestions on how to go to sleep?

Any tips or tricks? I've been sick and I have no more nyquil. :( I do have liquor though. :p

go to sleep at the same time every night and get eight hours of sleep. No naps. If you do nap make sure you don't sleep for more than about 40 minutes.

You'll have to force yourself for a while but trust me.....it works!!! I've even been to sleep therapy and this is the basic way to set a pattern.

A friend swears by chamomile tea, she says it works every time. If you ask me it tastes like crap, but its worth a try if it works.

Valium seems a little hardcore. I do have vicoden, codeine, and some other stuff available though. I think I'll stick with the alcohol. ;)

Buy a new bed. I just got a new one delivered last week and am amazed at how big of a deference it made.

liquor does help. :p
and it helps also to make your room real warm and cosy. else just lie in the bed under the sheets and start reading in dim light. taking some warm drinks before u go to bed also helps.

liquor will only turn you into a drunk. Whacking off will make you fall asleep, but it will make you more likely to fall asleep after sex[:)]

An legit, healthy method i've learned is to relax, and meditate. Lay on your back, or any comfortable position, breathe in deeply and count to ten, breathe out deeply and count to ten, slowly. Just keep doing this, and don't try to concentrate on anything that will make you worry. Just think of a calm place you've been to. If this doesn't work after a while, just go in the bathroom and splash your self with some cold water. Once you get back into bed you'll just cuddle up under the warm sheets and fall asleep before you know. Warm milk will work too, because of the chemicals it releases in your brain. Warm milk only, no chocolate.

I turn on the ac and get a fan on high and bundle in a blanket with my dog. I'm in fl though, if you are up north open a window. ;),

Melatonin. Take up to 10mg an hour or two before you want to go to sleep. You'll be knocked out til morning. You can get it at your local Health Food Store. Don't get the cheap kind at the drug store.

Russ' solution is probably the best- try to do some more exercise or some other type of tiring work during the day.

Reading dull chemistry textbooks and the like usually helps too. ;)
