I don't know of any specific rules against what he said; it's just words on the internet. Now if there were forum rules against making jokes about kicking fetuses, I can understand that. Really, I can. But when the mod calls Eli's ex girlfriend an attention whore in her apology thread (that was mysteriously deleted after I pointed that out) only weeks after the whole "change of culture" and only months after "no calling other memberse sluts and attention whores" threads that were stickied to the top of OT, I can see why everything's so ass backwards around here.

Ah.. crap, I didn't get to see how the eli's girlfriend thing played out 🙁

Clearly I've been remiss in my dedication to OT

Yeah she made a thread whining that she didn't want the whole of AT to think less of her. Like 100,000 strangers give a crap? The mod DID say it best, even if they broke their own rules making themselves look... well, nevermind.

i wonder if it has the same problem as the patch in that, because the hormone is absorbed directly, women are receiving much higher doses of hormone than intended?

I got banned for a remark like this and I am a woman. If its unacceptable for me to make this joke I think it should stand for others.

As we've all seen over the last few years, that doesn't matter.

anyways, to the topic at hand,

I've never even heard of this thing until now. I've had a lot of problems with high does of progestorone including low sex drive and chronic <womens special place> discomfort

My G/F has one, guess it works; we are not sexually active (by my choice) ... I'm not ready to make babies yet 🙂 ... anyways, she says it is convenient and doesn't require as much maintenance as the pill. If they give you the wrong dosage/version, though, it does really bad things to the woman's plumbing.

umm you may not be sexually active, but it sounds like she is.

Very true.

The mods are very wishy washy on topics

If you read down in the thread, the mods banned this guy.

Hey Pablo, it takes balls to call out a banned person. I love how all your comments came after upscillion got banned.

People need to learn that on ATOT, half the humor comes from playing people's shock values like a guitar. David is a good guy and would never condone such a thing. First Andre, now David. That's ridiculous. How many TPADs or DIAFs have been let go?

And another thing Pablo, wouldn't calling him a bad Christian be judging him? What was that word you used? Hypocrite?

I think that comment deserves a vacation perhaps.

I've already pmed AT Mod.

noone has a sense of humor any more...

Yeah. Cuz kicking a woman in the gut to kill a fetus is DAMN FUNNY!

because he actually kicked a woman in the gut to kill a fetus. Do you spaz out and go homocidal when someone makes a racial/ethnic/dead baby joke? Are you the kid who says "ignoramus" instead of "idiot" ?

Are you the kind of christian who insults another christian for using the bible and then not being a perfect christian.. when you yourself are being the hypocrite for insulting and ostracizing another, not loving your fellow man?

Time for your annual vacation. See you next year.

Bwaaaahhahahaha... Thank you mods.

To add to the topic... Had a GF who was on the ring. You can feel it but it's no big deal in that regard.

You do have to watch out for two things:
1. It falls out. It's a bummer to have to look for that thing in the sheets. It doesn't glow in the dark.
2. If your GF is a complete psycho it's pretty easy for her to manipulate the ring (take it out when you're not around) and get herself preggo. (Also true for the patch!)

I perfer the shot or the pill. Both are easier to keep track of. (If you think you have reasons to worry about such things)

My X used to use Nuvaring. Worked great for the time we were together. Patches and Pills scare me. Nuvaring is probably the most effective form of birth control there is right now.

Yeah. I go homocidal. And I use ignoramus too.

I thought it was insensitive, and obviously the mods did too.

I have heard of it before, and personally have not tried it, but since my annual dr appt is coming up, i might bring it up since i am somewhat frightened about the patch thing (eventhough i have been using it for close to four years with no problems *knock on wood*)

I just would be worried, like someone said, if it falls out. I know once something is stuck up there, it *should* stay in place, but to me, there is too much of a risk of it coming out.

I will ask my dr about the best methods, but i think it really is different for each woman.
