If he wants to spend that much on a wallet, what's the big deal. The difference between the Montblanc I liked and a similar design at Coach was evident, and you're not going to find that design or craftsmanship at Target, I'm sorry.
Computer hardware is definitely the bigger waste. Its about the worst investment you can make because in two years its worth 50% of what you paid for it...and that's best case scenario!

yeah I checked it out. I like it, but I didnt want just a plain leather wallet. I wanted something different from the norm, you know? i either want something thats leather with a few different design flairs from the norm, or just something that has a good exterior design.

I would buy a $15 wallet and put the $185 in it. But my guess is your gonna spend $200 on one to put hundreds in and will always have hundreds in it?

I have a coach wallet. Bought it in 2001. Still in excellent condition. It was probably somewhere between 70-100.

How do people end up with hundreds anyways? You get cash from an ATM or from debit-card and they would only give $20s... do people go to the bank to ask for hundreds??

Honestly you should just get a classy wallet....design flairs will be dated in a year and then you'll just be stuck with an out of style wallet.

ATMs or withdrawl from the bank and they ask how you want it. Carrying anything more than a couple hundred in 20s gets too big.

Coach sells some nice leather products for men. So does Cole Haan. I know those are not designer like Gucci, but if you want to spend under 200... then you might have to move down a notch.

Or you could just spend the extra money. I bought a Gucci wallet and money clip. You really shouldn't think about price when you are buying those brands.
