Natasha : I will leave your phone number for the station to contact you back with the status of the package.
Natasha : Will that be okay for me to leave your phone number?

Natasha : I have updated your case for a call back from the station.
Natasha : MrColin, is there anything else I can assist you with today?
Natasha : Case ID is XXXXXXXXXXXX the case that was updated today.
MrColin: when can I expect a call?
Natasha : I don't have a time frame.

Natasha : They are researching now, and they will contact you.

This sounds bad, its already a "case" and research is required to find out wtf. Not sure if my things are coming, ever:(

Could have gotton lost.
When I was a loader at ground, I had a couple envelopes slide between the plywood wall backing and the side of the cube truck. I told the driver about it. I dont think they ever took the walls off the truck to get them out. Probably still there.

This was 32 lbs of 9mm pistol ammunition. I don't think it slipped in between anything. Probably someone needs to warn rocky and bullwinkle that natasha and arguably, boris just aquired 1000 rounds.

Not sure about fedex, but a UPS truck went over the center divide here yesterday in the rain. I would think there were a few packages on that truck that could be in a similar situation.

Research means he was on hold. I bet somebody will call you with a time for you to pick it up.

A couple of times this year I've had packages just sitting at the local stop with an out for delivery status. After 7-14 days I call about it, it gets marked as lost, and the shipper gets credited and they ship out another one. Probably theft at the local sort facility.

FedEx has a 99.98% accuracy rate. That sounds better than it is. That means they lose 1:5000 packages. They ship a couple million a day, so they lose hundreds of packages. Daily.

That said, somebody probably just put it in the wrong cage and forgot about it. It happened a few times when I worked at a FedEx retail counter - we'd get customer packages mixed in with the store's supplies or something, so they'd be in the wrong storage room, or we'd get the short term customer pickup packages mixed in with the long term ones.

I don't get much from them but they are about 50% accurate when I receive a package via fedex. My last one was delivered to the wrong address a block or two away and it took 4 more freakin' days to get it to me.
