I'm thinking of replacing my 07 Santa Fe. It is a good car, but I'm averaging 18-19 mpg and since I have 60K on it, and am not sure about Hyundai's long term reliability, I'm thinking of trading it in while it is still worth something.
I like the size and features of the Outback. The 4 cyl with CVT is supposed to get 22-29 mpg and I have always heard that Subaru's were reliable. I can get a premium with the all weather package for 25K and I should get about $11,500 for the Santa Fe.
Outback owners - what types of real world mpgs are you getting and are you happy with the reliability of the car? Help sway me one way or the other.
