Anyone fail any classes this semester?

Even though most of the grades in my algorithms class were below 70.... the only people that actually failed the class were the students that didn't do the work. If we went to class, turned in all the homework and made solid efforts on the exams we were rewarded with passing the class.

class average for the first 2 test were around ~45. no homework just exams. the grades were so bad he divided the final into sections, and if you did better on the section it replaced your grade. needless to say, i didn't do any better on the final.

i'll have to take it again, hopefully with a better teacher. i lucked up and took the hardest class with the hardest teacher (or so i've heard).

classes like this make me think i'm a better programmer than i am a computer scientist. sorta depressing.

i rocked my opengl exam though.

theres a slight possiblity that I will fail my "intro to theater" class

the test questions are random, and i missed a lot of days because i wasnt allowed to register until 2 weeks before the semester, and after 6 weeks I got tired of the huge hassle it was for me to go from work to class...so i mostly stopped going

i dont think i care at all right now.

Advanced Algorithms & AI was my hardest class, by far. My goal this year was to get A- or better in every class, but algorithms (last semester) screwed me up, I got a B+. This semester I got A, A+, A-, A-.

Well, I have ~ 40 problems in Numerical Analysis to solve in Matlab otherwise I will be failing.

On top of that, I was just handed some extra work for my full time job over the weekend, and I have to help watch my 3 kids.

So I may be retaking this class next semester. :/

No, but a few students of mine will. (grumblegrumble...)

I will be taking classes again in the Spring in addition to teaching though. I miss being a student.

I'll be retaking circuits 1.

Funny, considering I took microprocessors this semester (considered to be one of the rapiest of the rape classes offered, something like the second hardest class) and did pretty well in it.

I dunno...kinda hate analog shit. Might consider changing my major to computer engineering or something (still have to pass circuits, but more classes that I'm interested in).

Hope not. It's my first semester back at graduate school. Need a 70% to pass. Went into one exam with a 92%, but the average was 87%, so as long as it doesn't get bell curved down.

No failing here.

I haven't gotten my final grade in Algorithms yet... I think I got a B, but there's a chance for an A. I actually had the highest grade in the class before the final, but it hasn't been graded yet. The professor doesn't "believe" in + - grades, so I need a 93% in the class for an A. My professor is a cock sucker.

A in everything else... but I _REALLY_ busted my ass this semester. Next semester I'll be battling the Automata Theory beast as my hardest class.

Nope, 8 credits of A's and while the other 4 haven't come back yet, I'm expecting an A from a 1 credit class and an A- or A from a three credit. Easily my best semester so far.

We get the choice between Automata Theory and Algorithms here. I'm battling Computer Systems Architecture this semester... have my final on Monday.

I haven't failed anything yet. But I did get a C+ in the Genitourinary System. Not all that surprised, I felt way out of my depth in the exam, but still...I don't think I've ever gotten a grade that bad. My parents gave me the silent treatment for nearly a week afterwards.

I'll be passing math and intro to engineering, but basic drafting is up in the air. I'll know for sure on Tuesday.

I'm not sure how drafting can be "taught", but I was surprised to have almost no regular instruction during the entire term. He would simply walk around and comment on our progress. Maybe that's the correct way to teach drafting...

I dropped from my only class I was going to fail, also one week after the final free withdraw date the uni made the class no longer mandatory for the degree.

there have been over a dozen drops of this class of under 100 people, just to give you an idea on how bad it is.

Otherwise all is swimming because of ratemyprofessor

I managed to study the wrong types of problems for my fluids final and since the prof likes to take a really heavy mathematical approach to it, I pretty much tanked 3/5 problems. Hoping for a big curve...

I've never taken a class that failing even remotely seemed like an option as long as I put in the time. Eg. a course that I could put in a full effort and still fail.

Except for maybe an accelerated accounting class I took, or honors economics. It turns out I don't actually like either of the subjects so doing any work in the classes was incredibly painful.

That the class where you learn about linked lists and stuff? If so, I feel sorry for you. I hated that class.

I don't think that's the class. You learn about Linked Lists in your Intro 2 CompSci class. That class is pretty trivial for most people because the people who couldn't cut it already failed/quit out of CS101 and it's before you get into the harder stuff like programming a compiler.
