or, what if instead, the people with higher GPA's are more likely to push themselves and are more attractive to employers for reasons that are correlated to their GPA but their GPA itself isn't a causative factor?

I agree. I doubt anyone who works their butt off in college for good grades is just going to assume employers are knocking down their doors. They will probably be more proactive with the job search as well.

I might, depends on if I can finish up my missed labs tomorrow at home and do well on the exams (aced the exams thus far, missed almost every class including the labs).

I might get a gimmie for the low-mark ones though, have had to stay home most of this semester due to my son having allergic eczema for 3 months. Nothing like an itchy baby who can't sleep, new parents nightmare.
