Your library probably has it for free.

but it's worth a rent if you don't have a library card

Not suitable for kids, or optimists.

Good flick I always watch when it comes on cable; seen it probably a dozen times. Another McDowell flick that I really like came out 2 years after Clockwork called, O Lucky Man! Very surreal.

A Clock Work Orange is a political/social commentary book/film.

Unfortunately, I was forced to watch it in middle school because of this.

It examines free will, and what the removal of it would mean. It also attempts to do what most people think is impossible, make you feel sorry for a murdering rapist.

It drew exactly the opposite reaction from me, and most of my classmates... and still does. In no way did I feel sorry for the main character. And I thought the "treatment" was brilliant.

ACO is a little risque for middle school! It was a good movie, but you really do have to have a certain mindset to watch it...

now, a clockwork orgy...thats a different story. ;)

I saw the movie a few years ago and it was disturbing. It's hard to watch a movie like that without much of a plot.

Starts out great but falls off (at least IMO, especially with pacing) towards the end.
Still a top-tier film.

Its one of those things that make you feel sick, dirty and ashamed for watching it but at the same time you can't stop watching. One of the most compelling bits of cinema you'll ever see.

As per the movies tagline: Being the adventures of a young man whose principal interests are rape, ultra-violence and Beethoven.

Time to go play some lovely, lovely Ludwig van!

Nothing like a little of the good ole' ultraviolence tonight!

I love that movie! It follows the novel pretty well except for the ending which truncated the last few chapters.

I remember watching it in High school for some AP History class. The teacher showed it for kicks and then made us write an essay on it on the symbolism involved in that movie...
