I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's not a movie I'd want to own though because I just couldn't deal with watching it that often.

BTW-the only X rated movie nominated for an Academy Award.

Wrong, infact Midnight Cowboy WON it's Oscar and was rated X at the time.

It seems like a cult classic amongst people that like to trip on acid and smoke a lot of weed.

and what about the movie...let me guess...you havent seen it and are just talking out of your ass??

I'm not talking out of my ass, I saw the movie and enjoyed it.. It caters to the same croud that loves movies like The Wall, Trainspoting, Natural Born Killers.. If you like those movies you'll probably really like A Clockwork Orange

I suggest renting it, but it's not a movie for everyone. I found the beginning a little slow but I really dug the film once it got rolling. It's a classic Kubrick film so expect some of it to absurd.

It's a very good movie, but it's Kubrick, so if you think in the mainstream, you won't get it.

There's some kind of commentary about man's base natures in there with all the violence and penises, but try not to think too hard - I don't think Kubrick meant a lot more than just what he showed in the film - a spoiled brat in a dark, violent future.

For the record, I didn't think much of Trainspotting or NBK. I haven't seen the Wall, so no comment there.

So ... GuileVsGuile, did you rent it and see it yet?

Was it not one of the greatest movies you had ever seen?

I agree with you in regards to Trainspotting and NBK, not nearly as good as Clockwork. The Wall is fantastic though. The lyrics and cinematography are brilliant. It's worth renting for sure.

It's a great movie, certainly not for everyone though. One of my favourites.

I'm not one for really long films but this one is definately a great one. A lot like American Psycho, for me at least, in that I'll never really watch it straight through put just jump around between scenes
