this has always bothered me...i would think if it bothered them that much, they wouldn't use the word themselves...

This is such a typical bs argument. We all have friends. Now you can a conversation with your friend and call your friend a b1tch, a mf'er, a wh0re, or anything else and it would be cool. But if I as a stranger walked up to your friend and called them the same things it would be improper. Why? Because I have no relationship on that level that would allow me to use those kinds names talking to your friend. But just because you can call your friend those kind of names doesn't mean I can do it. A couple of weeks ago, I work in a large company, I stopped in one of the eating areas and two young guys, I assume they were middle eastern guys cause they looked like it. They were having some kind of conversation and were laughing about something, when the one guy was leaving he said catch you later beloved patriot, the other guy laughed and said catch you after work. Now just beacuse I heard someone else say that to that guy, ain't now way in this world I would refer to that guy as a beloved patriot. So the argument of they call each other that so I should be able to say the same is bs. The truth is some of the scum bags just wanna call blacks n1ggers and are willing to try and use any argument they can to try and justify their pathetic existence.

If another black person that you did not know came up to you off the street and referenced you as a n****r with their greeting, would you take as much offense to it as if a white person did it?

EDIT: spelling of offense.

Of course he wouldn't.

He's just vainly trying to defend one of the many self destructive aspects of popular black culture that many, including Bill Cosby, have pointed out and been blacklisted by blacks for doing so.

The McDonalds where I live is totally hispanic run and it's easier to say queso than cheese. They don't seem to focus at all around the black image thing so I thing it varies between different stores.

Now 'wigger' is a bad word?
wtf?

i have nothing against black people, or any race for that matter.

Really so white people who like black music or embrace black culture are trying to be N1ggers? So let's clarify this, first you think blacks are N1ggers and second, whites who may embrace something of blacks should be called Wiggers? Yea your right, you got nothing against anyone.

Want some cheese with that whine?

5 to 10 what? Resorting to threats again, Classy?

First it's hollow cries of racism against those who disagree with you, then it's thinly veiled threats.

And I have not said ANYTHING in regards to blacks in America that Cosby hasn't said himself. In fact, I am in 100% agreement with Cosby when it comes to popular black culture and it's self destructive and self deprecating nature.

Finally, are you denying that Cosby got a sh!t storm of criticism from people like you after his repeated remarks?

I hope for the Black Community's sake that they wake up soon, but with people like you it is highly unlikely. The Hispanic population is quickly outpacing the Blacks and as their political power grows Blacks face the consequence of being politically marginalized. Blacks are using the race card to their benifit to scare White America to get what they want NOW....but Hispanics are not sympathetic to the Black Community and them always pulling the race card. Keep your head in the sand to your own peril.

shaddap, you crybaby.

thats not what i'm saying.

i have something against white people who wear du-rags and try pants 4x too big for their waist.

its far from 'embracing black culture' when you're a white guy trying to act like 50 cent.
I call them "Urban people" I find Urban people to be idiots, reguardless of race

Most fast food is directing their advertising toward the black commnity.

I won't get into my theory as to why they do it........ or the wigger debate

Profits are up because McGriddles cost exactly $.00001 cents to make, and everyone seems to love them. I've seen the manager cringe when I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese bagel in the morning. I'd wager their margins are rather low on that.

In part i have to agree with classy on this.

But if blacks dont want to be called N1ggers then they shouldnt use the word either. It gives kids who are into the "scene" justification to use the word. When they dont really understand why it is offensive.

My family is a mixe of races. My wife has 2 black sisters and a brother. When they are over with friends or such they know not to use words like N!gger, W!igger, Trailer trash beloved patriot etc here. They also respect me enough not to do it.

Though i do have to admit there are times when jokeing i have made a raciest comment to htem just for shock value. But they also know i am jokeing and usually give me crap for it heh. But thats family that know me. I wouldnt dream of doing it with people i do not know.

It's not over the top. If blacks can openly call each other n1ggers, whites should be able to call each other wiggers. There's no need for a double standard. One standard will do just fine.

thank you

just because some black people use "n1gger" as an affectionate term, they all don't. I mean some women call themselves "b1tches", some spanish people call themselves "sp1cs" and some jewish people probably call each other "k1kes". But just because you twist this word into something that you refer to someone in your group (i.e. w1gger or w1ke or whatever) does that make it right? Bottom line is not all black people embrace this word and many who are older despise it, so out of respect for what they had to endure when this was an extremely derrogatory term, dont use it, in any way, shape or form.

You won't get into it, but I will. Advertising execs realize that middle class white folk are too concerned about their health and appearances to other people to go to fast food restaurants. However, the entire fast food industry can be kept alive without the white people simply by cornering the 'big fat black lady that doesn't realize she weighs 800lbs' market. So you target blacks in general - and the fat black ladies will come. Also, middle-class white teenagers think they're black, so they'll come too. Lower class whites still aren't aware that there are other places to 'eat out', so they don't need to be advertised to.

And people call me a prude. Is wigger is a derivative of the n-word yes. But the meaning is far from racist. Not all white people can just be labled as wiggers. It is the way certain ones act. I am an african american that has grown up with a white parent living in a predominately white town (2% blacks in the high school). I basically am a white dude trapped in a black mans body. If I tried to act gangsta I would be a wigger too.

So stfu foo be-fo I gots tah drop yo bitch ass.
