I find it annoying finding things, or when you have like 80% of a 1gig file and NO ONE has the rest.... pretty annoying

I get best d/l speeds when I cap my upload at 3kbs, i get about up to 125 down... That thing about your up/down being porportional doesnt work for me

Works ok for me. It's the fastest way to get files for me. Although it's not a guarantee and you have to make sure you download while there are still plenty of sources. Any link over a week old = useless IMO, and even a few days can be no good. On the upsiude so far my best download speed has been something stupid, 4.5Mbits I think.

using a hardware router, I have used port forwarding for 6881-6999, and even tried to set that particular box's Ip address under the DMZ setting in the router, I still only get 20 to 30 KB/s speeds- (using RR), any ideas why so slow?

You suck at teh intarweb. But seriously, it all depends on what you download. If it's something really popular you will get better DL speeds. Oh, and get an experimental version of BT so you can control your upload. I always cap it at 15k because sometimes I've seen if you turn your upload down you will get higher DL speeds.

Bittorent is ok, but not the be-all and end-all its sometimes made out to be. Fine for finding the latest and greatest, no use for the rest.

For the time being, I'll stick with newsgroups.

yea, bt sometimes sucks, but i just dled ep 52-54 of naruto over night.. no pain, no hassle.. seems to be one of the easier ways to get anime nowadays..

just dun use it while your doing stuff on the web. it'll sap up bandwidth.. but when you goto sleep, who cares as long as you get the file you want. imo..

Get the best BT client HERE. Make sure you dont max out your upload speed. Also let the download sit there for a bit, it will pick up speed.

If you need anime fast just let me know, i'm one of the guys at anbu/aone hehe...
