I've had a sore throat starting december. Started coughing mid december. Never stopped since then. It's getting slightly better this week. Mucus is containing more blood, so I suspect that most of the mucus is gone, and my respiratory system is slowly regenerating.
Since monday everything smells and tastes like stale blood.
And I also resumed volleyball practice after a ten week break, on monday.
Let's just say, I was not prepared. Almost every single muscle in my body is sore, from my feet to my fingers.

Woke up at 5 AM this morning with a 104 temp and a super stiff neck, so I decided it was probably best to make a visit to the ER. After a gamut of tests (including a spinal tap), I was diagnosed with a "virus of unknown origin" and sent home. Fever is still spikes at 102-103 every couple of hours, so I just do what I can to get it down. I usually don't feel this bad when sick, but holy crap this has been the worst.

Anyone else miserable out there?

A fucking spinal tap?!?!?!

I've contracted whatever plague is current going around. I'm on day 3 of my regemine of sudafed and ibuprofen to survive the days as my sinuses feel like they're going to explode. I'm sure my coworkers are sick of me coughing and sneezing.

Yes... I'm THAT guy. But hey, they shared it with me. Why can't I return the favor?
