Its actually quite bad, but your an idiot.

How can you be insulted by something so outrageous? It's not insulting because it doesn't apply to 99.9% of the white population.

I'm not going to even complete my sentence you redneck mofo.

I never said whether it was a good or bad comment... I just said that I am not offended by it and I don't understand how anyone could be.

If you want to be offended by it, go right on ahead. Whenever I hear it I smile.

By the way, the term "cracker" was created by rich white people to insult poor white people. If you're posting on ATOT you probably aren't poor, so it makes no sense that you'd be so insulted. It's like calling an Asian person "nigg3r" or a Mexican person "Chinaman".

I'm poor and I'm not insulted, but then I generally don't give a sh|te.

They're the only people who use it though, I dunno why you're arguing semantics.

Hey guys I don't post here much but from what I understand, "cracker" is meant to refer to those cracking a whip i.e. a slave owner.

Myself being white, being called cracker gives me a feeling of authority and I do not understand how one could be offended by the term.

I never thought of it that way, but if that's what cracker really means then I agree, it's really not that bad at all.

Arguing semantics is saying that cracker, n*gga, and n*gger are the same.

Their origins might not be the same (the origin of "n*igger" is actually tamer than the origin of "cracker", if what you're saying is true), but their attempted uses are. That's all that matters in this discussion.

Of course being a slave owner is a horrible thing. However, what's the difference between that or insulting by calling someone a terrorist or murderer when they aren't? That's why it's laughable.
