Anyone else sick of people using "cracker" on the forums in a derogatory manner and getting away with it?

I get called Syrian all the time, its infuriating. I don't know a single Syrian with skin as tanned as mine, but every other person I meet thinks I'm Syrian, go figure.

White people have gotten away with lots of slurs and remarks. It's our turn to bring it back at you!
 
Cracker and honkey just don't work as slurs. The reason (I think) is because black people just made them up because they wanted an equivalent of "******" for themselves. However, that doesn't work. It's nowhere near as effective as the word "******" because it does not have the history of racism and slavery behind it. You can't just make up a slur because you want to, it requires a social history that can't just be instigated like that.

It's only offensive when intentionally used as a racial slur. I would feel justified in fisticuffs in that case.
