I always get into the Christmas mood in November and by the time Christmas actually rolls around, I just look forward to the vacation time and that's it.

No holiday stress here. We have food laid in and the lights look nice. We're healthy and the cats are mostly healthy.

You know when something that's getting really tight suddenly is easy to turn again (while maintaining CW rotation) that means you've gone too far? ;)

My wife has zero holiday spirit this year...which is very surprising...she's been "Mrs. Christmas" every year for the previous 35 Christmases we've spent together...I'm always a "Scrooge" about the holidays...but secretly love all of what she does. (and I bitch like crazy when she puts me to work...but smile the whole time...and she knows I'm just putting on an act.)

This has been a weird year for us...money situation hasn't been what we're accustomed to, family strife, (damned kids...can't live with them, can't shoot them) and it never really seems like Christmas here...no snow.

Hell, it was like pulling hen's teeth trying to get her to put up the Christmas tree this year. Normally, she's clamoring for it by the time Thanksgiving dinner is done...this year, "Oh, I don't know if I even want to put it up this year."

Ah well...Maybe next year will be better. <shrug>

Really sorry to hear this, Boomer. You're a good man. Go yell at some illegals to re-cross the Rio Grande, it's what Republican Jesus would do. ;)

Maybe, but I don't believe in the Republican anything...Me, I'd rather take up position on a bluff above the Rio Grande and pick them off as they entered the water on the Mecksican side of the river...be more pro-active.

:p
