No complaints of voter fraud.
No complaints of voter disenfrachisement.
No complaints that people were barred from voting.
No complaints of voter machine hacking.
No complaints of voting machine irregularities.

Don't ge me wrong, the republicans screwed themselves...they had 12 years to get things right and obvioulsy the people have grown tired of them not stepping up to expectations.

However, now that the Dems won, all is right with the world and all the things they were concerned about prior to the election are now no longer issues since they won.

Did you think that may be why they won.. because those things didn't happen like in 2004?

You are 100% right about why we aren't hearing complaints.

At the same time people are being critical of Allen and Burns because they might ask for recounts. Meanwhile they were all over Kerry for not calling for recounts in 2004.

I think it is a philosophical difference.

Also, notice that Bush stepped up and took responsibility for the loss. Does anyone remember if Clinton did the same in 1994?

The machines WERE rigged. They rigged things for their defeat. To get Bush off the hook (he was at a loss in Iraq), and to set them up for the real voter machine rig in 2008 when Jeb Bush runs and wins by 10000 votes, and they can say "see, you win in 2006 so the machines must be ok". :D :Q

We may never know if some Republican vote altering was done---but maybe--as usual--the Republicans were over optimistic on the depths of their unpopularity--and just failed to steal enough votes----another Iraq like case---go big or stay at home.---go small and lose.

But for the record---there were many complaints of voting machine irregularities.---the question now is---will the repubs now blame democratic hacking?

Ahhh yes the Republicans have dignity.

Did you honestly forget the whole Macaca mess?

Do you not understand that you are on an Indian Americans website? What a tool dude. Just the fact that you are still here shows the mods inability to create an open environment on any forum.

No complaints, no complaints? I'm pissed as hell. The hospital wouldn't let me out of my cell to go vote.

Your point?
The winners never whine and cry like babies!!
isually the losers do the whining!
Its people like you who would call for an opposing view to be silenced because they do not have the capacity to post an intelligent rebuttal~!!~!!
:thumbsup:to Prof John!!

But in this case dignity and character wins out over whining a making false acusations!!

Hopefully, its obvious to the American sheeple that the Democrats stole the election this year and the only reason they aren't complaining is because it would incriminate them.

If the opposing view is legitimate and has some value I would love to hear it.

If its some idiot supporting a known racist then I don't care to hear it.

I don't think racism is a valid argument.

"Oh well you know those damn Iranians held those hostages, lets bomb em"

"Oh you know those damn Somalians they dragged a marine through the street let us never help them again"

Those aren't valid arguments in my opinion.

If, after this election, there are valid concerns expressed by non-Christian-racist-extremists I'd love to hear them.

Be it on the war on terror or domestic issues. A lot of Republicans have valuable things to say about these subjects, but obviously the leadership of their party did not.

I think the reason is because the election was decided for the dems in a republican stronghold.

it would be much different if, say, the outcome of the senate rested on Menendez in NJ and the votes in hudson county (democratic senator, democratic governor, blue state, very blue county)... I honestly wonder how big of a deal Florida in '00 would have been if one of the canidates brother's wasn't the governor of the state that decided the election.

The electronic voting machines broke, so they had to use paper ballots.

Very difficult to steal an election that way, that's why the Democrats were able to actually take both houses :p

Uh many elections in South Texas and Illinois were stolen with the use of paper ballots in the 60s and 70s, so uh you would be wrong.

Because its only Republicans that do things that are wrong, Democrats are perfect angels that don't even go over the speed limit.

First of all, there were complaints of many of the above throughout election day. Some people complained about machines switching votes, many of the machines had trouble starting up, etc. The FBI was also investigating in Virginia over complaints that voters were told their precinct had changed (although it hadn't). That said, the problems weren't nearly as bad as they could have been.

Even so, I've been saying that any irregularity should be investigated to the fullest extent. Also, I don't trust the machines and there must be a paper trail.

I don't understand why this is a valid complaint...clearly many people (not just Dems) were worried about various fraud activites before the election, but that was based on a lot of fear and uncertainty. Now that the elections have actually happened, and no major issues have yet emerged, I'm not sure why ANYONE would be making noise. The point made in the OP is only relevant if there WAS all sorts of fraud that the Dems are ignoring just because they won. Otherwise the point is silly, if pre-event concerns prove not to have been valid, what kind of idiot would keep making noise about them?

Hey if CEO of <insert company here> said they would deliver 2006 to the Democrats what do you think would have happen?

Throw away the tin-foil hats...the republicans lost and they know it was because they didn't connect to Americans with their issues so they're not going to whine about voter fraud and stealing elections like the democrats did (and failed, obviously).

Well I have to admit I was nervous when I voted, because of all the tales of fraud, and hacking, and such, but apparently it went well. I think the people in my district care enough about the process that fraud would be very rare here. I even went in dressed like a hood (stocking cap, army jacket, combat boots, etc) and they all were polite and professional. I don't know about anywhere else though. I guess the scare tactics worked on me a bit.

This said, I have to add that I would like to see those election officials in Florida in '00 put on polygraphs.
