Anyone else not renew their Anandtech subscription?

I've never had one. I was debating subscribing this weekend, actually, but then they increased the bandwidth of the non-subscriber forums. I'll have to see how the speeds are at school, because they're quite nice here at home.

Fair -yes - but I'm not at all sure about "equal" treatment. Someday, I predict forums will actually pay certain posters to keep things "lively" on their site.

I didn't renew mine when it ran out a couple weeks ago, but that's only because I spend maybe 1-3 hours a week here max nowadays...just too damn busy for ATOT

I'm kind of getting that way too. I lurk a lot and decided to pay for the service (been pretty pleased with it too), but I've been busy lately and will be into the foreseeable future. Maybe if I get a slower connection it'll discourage me somewhat from using the forums so I can focus more at the office.

I've been here a lot longer than you have, thats for sure.. I've been on these forums since 98 in the UBB days, but Arstechnica has been the IT-forum of choice for me. no offence to anyone here at AT, this is a decent place, but Ars is much more laid back, no nazi moderation or free-speech-hindering language filters, you can post images (how cool is this thread: Post your win2k/xp desktops) plus there is a lot less n00bie-moron questions cluttering up the forums for the highly technical questions of the rest
