anyone else gonna deep fry a turnkey this year?

Nothing wrong with turkey as long as it's done properly. But to do it properly without deconstructing it... it's a nightmare.
 
Deep fried turkey is better than roasted turkey, but that doesn't make it good and it damn sure does not make it worth that much effort. Skip the turkey entirely.

The first time you have it you will think so, at least in my case, but I came to miss the smell of oven roasted turkey filling the house with delicious smells. I then started smoking a bird as well and, wow, just wow. Smoked turkey is heavenly. Fried turkey never really did it for me, but a lot of it is in the preparation and invariably, at my inlaws, where they fried it, they would inject the bird with the mixture and then fry it immediately instead of waiting for the flavor to soak in the meat. Sometimes their birds were also frozen on the inside still.....

My order - smoked, roasted, and then fried, but all 3 are good.
