Anyone else excited for Doom 3 BFG edition?

The reason i said Quake 3 sucked is that quite frankly, it sucked.

I was an enormous fan of Quake 1, and Quake 2 (to a lesser degree) they both had single player, and good solid multiplayer.

Then comes Quake 3 with it's multiplayer only nonsense... it's overly flashy overly colorful "smash TV" bullshit vibe, and worst of all the MUH-MUH-MUH-MUH-MONSTER KILL voice over stupidity.

It just felt like it was for 8 year olds. Quake 1 was the shit.

Q3A was one of the best multiplayer games ever made. Undeniable, sorry.

as for Quake 3:Arena - it was meh. Unreal Tournament blew it away.

Quake 4 I liked.

UT had a lot of the same things that bothered me about Q3A but was better.

Both had stupid voiceovers right?

A truly good multiplayer fps was Starsiege Tribes

Doom 3 wasn't that bad. it was quite fun to be honest. but i guess i would spend some bucks for it again
