all it took to do widescreen was a 2 second change in the config file. Yes, it should have been possible in a simple in game menu but there was a fix for anybody with the ability to do a quick google search.
ID's strong suit has always been graphic/game engine design. None of their games have ever had much of a story which was acceptable for games of yesterdecade, not so much today. The exception is Return to Castle Wolfenstein which I thought was fantastic. If anything I'd like to see a remake of that. I haven't played the most recent Wolfenstein release. I'm not even sure ID had much to do with it as it's an Activision product and had alot of co-development from other studios. The demo was decent enough, but it's three years old now.
RTCW wasn't developed at all by id. Gray Matter did the single player and Nerve did the multiplayer.
The newest one was done by Raven software.
Quake 3 definitely sucked
Thats all that jumped out at me from his whole post......Quake 3 sucked??
I didn't know that. Maybe that's why it was such a good game, at least IMHO.
Game should release tomorrow, any news if it will be on steam or not?
I was excited until I saw the $30 price tag.
greenmangaming.com currently has a 20% off coupon for PC games on their site so that would save you $6.
