Anyone else excited about Punch-Out! Wii?

I'm not excited enough to pay $50 for it (I refuse to pay more than $30 for ANY game), but I will definitely pick up a copy when it shows up on the discount/used rack at my local game shop.

Hell yeah,

We spent many many hours playing MTPO. Bald bull was my nemesis.. For some reason I could never time the charge right and he would rock my face off, especially the 2nd time you faced him.. Soda pop, and Mr Sandman were fun to fight.

Not gonna buy, but rent it.. Im so happy they chose to implement the classic control scheme (no waggle). If it was motion only, I probably wouldn't even give it a look ( based on the other wii boxing games)

interested but the Nintendo Power give it 8.5 with poor support for the wii balance board.

I would totally love it if Mike Tyson was an unlockable character. I mean he's broke I'm sure Nintendo could've gotten him for cheap. Unless EA got him exclusively for fight night 4.

Keep in mind MTPO came out before the face tattoo, ear biting and model bashing days. Thatll never fly with nintendo nowadays.

Eh... I'm sure it'll be good, but I'm having trouble getting excited over it. These remakes kill a company's soul, sooner or later.

no I'm not really interested.

I've had my Wii since Christmas (didn't ask for it) and it has been turned on like 3 times total.

It just doesn't look that good on my tv. I played Mario Galaxy and got bored after a few minutes.

I should sell it but I don't like getting rid of gifts lol

And that was just while he was in jail 😉

Haha, awesome. A couple years ago my roommate and I hooked up my NES to a 50" lcd projection tv and played through MTPO...brought back good memories.

rental maybe. I guess i'm waiting for wii motion plus... use two wii remotes w/ sensors, get more real time virtual boxing?

I'm also all for the $30 game limit, across the board, heh.

Amazon has the pre-order for it at $39.99 now.

Best Buy gives you a $10 gift card towards a future purchase if you buy it (you need a Reward Zone membership).

I'm gonna use a $25 Best Buy gift card, $10 Reward Zone coupon, then pocket the $10 gift card from the purchase 🙂

Hells yeah I'm excited, first Punch out game in 15 years. Surprised this game has such low hype, like there's no Punch Out fans out there.

Poor support for the Balance board? I wonder how so? It seems like it would be easy enough for the balance board to know where you are leaning. Well, I hope the wii fit board works well, since I need to get some use out of mine 😛

I wary of the game since it can be frustrating if the controls aren't tight. Whatever happened to that attachment they were going to release to improve the accuracy?

I think you can just use a GC controller, you don't need to use motion controls.

Or you can just turn the Wii remote sideways and use classic NES controls.

Just picked up my copy. Paid $17 with tax after $10 RZ coupon and $25 gift card. And I still got another $10 GC that came with the game. Gonna open it up tonight 🙂
