If HP and Intel truly have innovative products on the horizon, they should give us a little taste and get people excited enough to line up at a Best Buy at eight in the morning for their miracle product.
While I can't speak for the whole company, I personally would love to tell you about all of the neat stuff I've seen at HP Corvallis,
but I doubt you'd wait in line at Best Buy in the morning...because you'd be there for about the next 5 years.

The truly neat and amazing things that you guys (consumers) want are out there, but some of them are far enough away that there's a certain amount of discretion that must be used when it comes to divulging information. Not to pick on AMD, but I think they played their Hammer card too early, because it generated a lot of hype, but they weren't able to deliver the product on time, so its reputation has languished. If HP were to promise features early in the development cycle of a product, then not be able to deliver them, it tarnishes their image. I think that to truly blow away the consumer, a company has to create a product that's not only revolutionary, but also be able to release it shortly after its announcement.
Oh...and if you think HP Corvallis just makes printers, you're wrong.
