there is also such a thing as a bad boba... each boba place make their own tapioca balls, and they taste kinda different..

even the tea and milk combination is different among stores. Tea station in monterey park (SOCAL) make the best boba IMO
.

I wont be surprised if they start selling boba in starbucks, I see a lot americans who love boba, especially in SOCAL

I drink Coke. I buy 12 packs for 2.50 at the grocery store. It comes in 12 ounce cans. The cans are red with white print. You can get 20 ounce bottles and 2 litre bottles too. I dont like Diet coke, Coke II, or Vanilla coke. Cherry Coke is good too. Sometimes I drink Pepsi though. Its good too.

Back in January I wasn't really paying attention to how much I was spending and I figured I probably spent somewhere around $80 on boba that month. 🙁

WAYYYY to much money to be spending on a drink. Now I try to limit myself to two a week.

No, those tapioca balls are disgusting and slimy.

Yick...even worse than jello with fruit suspended in it.

I love those slimy balls. The bigger the better.

No, seriously.

I love boba/bubble tea. I've been going to this one teahouse, Suzhi, for years, before it became popular with non-Asians around here. Now, tea shops are popping up in all the trendy white areas of town, which is fine. There are several Suzhi teahouses in this area -- I live near the Vietnamese part of town. They generally have the most "authentic" tasting tea. There's another place I go, in midtown I guess, called just "Teahouse". They're pretty okay, but nowhere near the best. The people there are great, though. It's good to be a regular.

I usually order milk or cream teas, or a fruit milk tea slushie, always with tapioca. My friend prefers green or jasmine tea, with coconut gelatin. He's like the other end of the spectrum from me.

I think I'm going to go get an almond milk tea with tapioca right now. 😀

After I saw this thread I got in the mood for a Boba
I'm on campus studying right now. At 5pm I left the computer lab and went to the boba shop only to find it closed at 5pm. Then I went to another store on campus that sold it, and that was closed too.

Partly ruined my mood ... now I'm hungry
