There's less then a month left until the election, and things seem to really be heating up. Sentiments by those that oppose him are flaring into vile hatred. McCain/Palin are stirring thier suppprters emotions at rallies, not into support for themselves, but into "do at all costs" Obama prevention. It is getting a little frightening, frankly. There are consistent mob shouts of "terrorist", "socialist", "kill him", at the rallies. Thier last rally in Wisconsin escalated into a screamfest directed towards Obama, and McCain replies to the crowd "Senator Obama has a clear radical, far-left, pro-abortion record". This is bordering on a call for vigilantism, and the far right have had their share of that, not unlike those that are purportedly linked to Obama. Is anyone alse worried that someone may take this call to action to the extreme?

Well to be honest I don't think McCain is capable of inspiring anybody let alone inspiring someone to kill.

This year's election reminds of the Southpark episode with the giant doosh and the turd sandwich. I would have voted for McCain if he hadn't picked Palin as his running mate. Honestly, out of how many well qualified people, Romney, Ron Paul, Tom Dawlenky, Mick Huckabee, etc, he picks the pretty face with less experience than Obama?

Incidentally, I dislike Obama as well. I respect Biden, but I disagree with his politics and stances on issues.

CNN had a bit this morning on crowd anger at McCain rallies.. the people at the mic were frothing at the mouth.

But why are they so angry? They've been handed everything for the past 8 years.. smaller government, less spending, abortions don't happen anymore, almost everyone owns a gun. This is the best of times for a conservative.

you can't be serious. Bush is not a conservative, the last conservative president was Reagan.

Bush has increased spendings, grown the government... conservatives don't like him and I'm not too thrilled about McCain either, but IMO he will do less harm than Obama. Just like I felt Bush would do less harm than Gore/Kerry and I still feel that way now.

But don't pretend that Bush was a conservative, the mess we are in today has to do with Stupid regulations on banks by Dems and Repubs to force them to make loans to poor people that can't afford them.

I fear we will never see another true conservative as moderates win elections.

A bit.. their scare tactics are going too far and will probably cause some people to at least think about doing something stupid.

Well, worse has been said about bush by the left, and look what happened during the last election.
Also, the stuff about bush, that stuff was true, this stuff that the right is saying is just complete BS.

Rather than say their policies are better, the right has decided to try and scare people into voting for their candidate. Its both sad and desperate on their part.

Yeah! No True Scotsman would do such a thing!

Well, McCain doesn't inspire the average conservative base at all, so the only people that really get excited are those '25-percenters', the core right-wing that will vote as far right as possible 100% of the time. To be fair, there's a similar 25% on the left that is the exact same way. Though in the current situation, I'd say the 25-percenters on the right, after years of watching the Republicans self-destruct, and now watching their candidate have slim chances to make it, are starting to get a bit wacky. Foam-at-the-mouth spastic anger definitely scares away the independents and moderates. I saw a video of a rally, the one where McCain called people 'My fellow prisoners', and the crowd started chanting NOBAMA! NOBAMA! It was frankly weird. It wasn't a positive reaction towards him, just a negative reaction towards the opposition candidate. It would be like the entire crowd at an Obama rally chanting 'McSame!' 'McSame!'. But you don't really see that.

You know, Dems love to throw the fear/scare tactic at Rebuplicans.

But all you ever hear from Obama and Dem supporters are that McCain is Bush II. They are trying to also fear their way into the white house.

That's true to an extent, but they don't foam at the mouth with anger, accuse McCain of being a terrorist, shout to 'get him/kill him', or chant against in him in anger en masse at rallies.

At present, there is a HUGE gap between the calm focus of Obama rallies, with the rabid craziness that occurs at McCain rallies right now. To McCain's credit, he doesn't really incite it, it's already there waiting.

Sorry but I don't agree. Saying 4 more years of Bush policies is less of a scare tactic than a policy differentiation.

Saying that Barack is a terrorist and hates America is fear mongering at its finest.

Indeed they can't win on the issues so they must appease to the people in this country that still think that Iraq planned and carried out 9/11 and that Obama must have been an integral part in said plan. Morans.

RayGun was no conservative. He negotiated, faze to face, with the devil head of the evil empire instead of nuking him. He did exactly what McCain is criticizing what Obama said he would do. Because RayGun awakened enough from the psychosis of conservatism he accomplished something great. All the conservatives condemned him at the time till the praise came rolling in and they they all ran under his wing. Conservatives are not only nuts, but they're slimy.

To add to that, he pulled out of Lebanon after the Marine bombing, where we lost hundreds of Americans to one of the worst terrorist attacks in history. Imagine the wrath that would come from the mouth-frothers on that one if it were a Democrat who made that decision.

Conservatives are deeply humiliated and embarrassed. They voted for the disaster, ruined our country, but because of their titanic asses can't admit they are wrong. The energy required to maintain their state of denial, however, requires that they go into a rage state. The village idiots are under attack and it's bond fire, drum, and shake-your-spear time.

Out of curiosity, have you always posted like this? Like, when you first started?

Man, I hope so. This country could use another Civil War. It'd be good for the economy.

Worried about him? You mean worried that all the skeletons in his closet are coming out to haunt him?

Not in the least.

If anything I think its funny how the left is claiming offense at what some M/P supporters are saying but do nothing to chastise their own loons. Loons on both sides but which side gets vilified in the press tells you all you need to know
