I havn't done a 30 day challenge by any means but I do take them for time to time. If I'm dragging ass in the morning it helps and I can pretty much skip coffee. It's summer now and in AZ it's about impossible to take a really cold shower.

It definitely invigorates me... im on day 3 of 30. Although yeah its summer, I dunno if it would be viable in the winter.

i used to do cold showers when i was younger, and it was better, but then i got old, can't be bothered. My main problem with cold showers is "all dressed up and nowhere to go", it's not invigorating, it's infuriating and i need some way to get rid of the aggression.

Just moved into a new apartment and had to take cold showers the first 2 days I must say it is good for you, and I'm 51. Makes you feel more alive, better attitude, etc.

It sounds like a bad idea from a hygiene stand point. The hotter the water, the more readily oils from your skin can be washed off and the heat helps open pores to get them clean. Plus it is relaxing and feels better. Lastly I just feel better knowing I am hastening the death of the planet by needlessly burning fossil fuels as I waste potable water.

Guy seems like a dipshit to me. I had my share of cold showers in basic training/tech school.
Cold Shower Therapy™ in 140 Characters

If you can’t do something uncomfortable and difficult for 5 minutes in the shower, how the hell are you going to do something uncomfortable or difficult in real life?

Who Needs Cold Shower Therapy™?

Everyone. I use it as a litmus test for people. I’ve never met anyone who’s tried it and regretted doing it. Literally no one.
Scratch that, he seems like a salesman. It can be difficult to tell the difference sometimes.
I went through basic training. And a divorce. I'm going to stick with my decadent twenty minute hot showers. He can stick with using cold showers to make himself feel like "a real man".

I'll take a "cool" shower every once in a while if my body temperature is high. The only time I ever took a cold one was in December 2007 when the water heater broke in my Buffalo, NY apt. Last time I'll ever do that. I didn't stop shivering until the next day.
